Kenneth Juhls will be the new Chairman of the Board of Directors at Mover. He is the managing director of ZeroNorth Bunker, which in just a few years has achieved record success in a similar industry. Juhls brings relevant experience in strategy, ESG, and finance in particular, which can turn Mover's growth curve even higher.

The new Chairman of the Board comes with 25 years of experience from the Maersk Group, most recently three years as part of the executive management of ZeroNorth, which in four years has gone from 8 to 600 employees.

The common denominator for the two companies is the optimization of companies' logistics through digital solutions and the reduction of CO2 emissions. They both support a green agenda with solutions that reduce waste.

As the new Chairman of the Board, he will contribute to the strategic development of Mover, including focusing on the huge potential of the value that Mover creates for its customers. It's about creating more transparency and optimization of logistics, and ultimately a better bottom line for customers.

Kenneth Juhls sees a market with enormous growth potential:

"There is generally an increase in distribution and 'last mile' logistics. More and more people are having goods delivered to their homes, and we predict that this growth will continue. It's about using software intelligently and not just increasing freight capacity, but instead utilizing the existing capacity even better. This benefits our customers and the environment. At the same time, we will grow our 'logistics as a service' area, where Mover delivers drivers and vans to several large companies such as IKEA, Nemlig, Stark, Interflora. and others."

By optimizing operations and creating transparency, Mover's customers get a lower footprint on the environment and better ESG reporting.

Kenneth Juhls says about the role:

"Mover is unique because they have both deep insight into logistics and strong competencies in software development. It creates enormous value for customers and is the foundation for Mover to deliver on the company's mission.

Mover's logistics and software platform is strong, and we must now take advantage of that momentum to take the next big step, both in Denmark and internationally. I see a huge potential in the company and all the results that have been created over the past years, and I look forward to working closely with the management and owners of Mover."

IKEA is a co-owner

Mover has a number of prominent companies as customers – and IKEA as a co-owner.

Under the auspices of the investment company Ingka Investments, IKEA invested in the Danish company in 2020, and Mover's logistics software has become a central part of being able to create efficient home delivery for IKEA in Europe. Mover's systems plan and manage the entire order from when an IKEA customer orders online until the order is delivered. It includes everything from planning the shipment at a central warehouses to optimal packing of the delivery vehicles, calculating the most efficient routes, the delivery itself, and of course the return flow.

Martin C. Hansen, CEO of Mover says:

"Kenneth Juhls has very relevant experience to contribute with when we have to make big strategy choices and accelerate growth at home and abroad. Even though we create clear value and fast return-on-investment for our customers, there is still a lot we need to get better at and succeed with if we're going to conquer more of Europe with our leading technology and logistics solutions.

We need to accelerate the next step of the growth journey, both for logistics solutions, but especially for Mover's software solutions. Mover can speak much more clearly to the market about the value we add in distribution and last-mile logistics. Mover's solutions provide direct savings and better service for customers, as well as creating less emissions and improving the working environment for drivers."

In the past year, Mover has built a large foundation in the Netherlands and the plan is to expand further throughout Europe in the coming years.

"The strength of Mover is the great domain knowledge, where our software has been developed in connection with running a logistics business ourselves. The other software suppliers for the industry do not, and therefore, Mover comes to customers with unique insights, both when it comes to further development of the software and implementation for the customer."

Strategic lift, but not strategy shift

The outgoing chairman, IKEA profile Cornelis Aanhaanen, will continue as a member of Mover's board, where Kenneth Juhls as the new Chairman is an addition of relevant experience and competencies in strategy, growth, ESG, and finance.
